El Club Atlético Atlanta fue fundado el 12 de octubre de 1904.
Los colores del club, amarillo y azul a rayas verticales, fueron escogidos en referencia a los matices de los toldos que cubrían los negocios comerciales de los barrios en la época.
El primer equipo del Bohemio debutó oficialmente en torneos de AFA derrotando a Racing Club B el 22 de abril de 1906.
