The park is surrounded by pine forest with plentiful wild life and over 100 species of birds.
The Pushmataha Wildlife Refuge is also nearby, featuring scenic views from its mountain summit.
We are a short 5 mile drive from the Choctaw Nation Capital grounds and museum.
Many activities and Native classes in flint chipping and bow making are available throughout the summer months.
The Choctaw Nation keeps a wild buffalo heard for natural preservation that can be seen in the pastures as you drive by.
Throughout the year we have hunting and horse trail rides.
In the warmer months many fishing tournaments are held.
