Detailed description is Le château du Rocher-Portail ou Rocher-Sénéchal est un château du situé à Saint-Brice-en-Coglès en Ille-et-Vilaine.LocalisationLe château est situé dans le département français d'Ille-et-Vilaine, sur la commune de Saint-Brice-en-Coglès.
Localisé au nord du centre-bourg, proche de la commune de La Selle-en-Coglès, il est situé au bord d'un étang alimenté par le ruisseau des Échelles.HistoriqueL'édifice est classé au titre des monuments historiques par arrêté du 27 septembre 1961.
Ce château-manoir, construit en moellon, avec des encadrements de baies en granite, est coiffé de superbes toitures, comportant des corniches à modillons à la base du toit.
Édifié de 1603 à 1607, il présente un corps central flanqué de deux ailes en équerre : l'une s'ouvre sur la cour par une élégante galerie Renaissance d'inspiration italienne, avec pilastres cannelés à l'extrémité de laquelle se trouve une chapelle munie de canonnières ; l'autre percée d'un portail central, contenait les celliers et réserves.
