Detailed description is Le Château de Quincy est un château, situé sur la commune de Quincy, dans le département du Cher en France.DescriptionSitué en Berry, le château de Quincy est une propriété privée, classée monument historique depuis 1992, il ne se visite pas.HistoriqueÀ la fin du, l'ostel de Quincy appartient aux frères Jacquelin et Johannet Trousseau, propriétaires de Bois-Sir-Amé qui ont érigé une chapelle en la Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Bourges.Par la suite, il appartient au chirurgien de Charles VII de France, Regnault Thierry de Mehun.
En 1490, Louis Dupont, seigneur de Meart et de Quincy, obtint du roi Charles VIII le droit de faire fortifier son château de Quincy.
La construction dut rester à l’état de projet.En 1648, le roi Louis XIV érige la seignerie de Quincy en vicomté, au nom de Charles Pinon de Quincy (...-1672), Maître des Requêtes et Intendant du Berry.Dans son état actuel, le château de style Louis XII, inspiré de Bois-Bouzon et Jussy remplace le château hypothétique de 1490 ou celui qui lui fut antérieur.
Il est rebâti vers 1648 pour Charles Pinon, vicomte de Quincy.
