Detailed description is Le château de Gottorf est un château de la ville de Schleswig, parmi les plus imposants du Land de Schleswig-Holstein.HistoireLe bâtiment fut reconstruit plusieurs fois et agrandi, de telle sorte que du château médiéval, on est passé à un édifice renaissance, puis baroque.
Le château était la possession des rois danois, des ducs de Schleswig et des ducs de Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp, à l'origine de la seconde lignée de la famille Romanov et donc des derniers empereurs de Russie.
