Detailed description is Le château de Baronville est un château situé sur la commune de Béville-le-Comte, en Eure-et-Loir en France.HistoireLe nom de Baronville date de l’époque gallo-romaine (baronis villa).
Le château de Baronville fut d’abord une forteresse destinée à contrôler la vallée de la Voise.
En 1623, un château est édifié sur les restes du précédent par la famille de Montescot.
Il passe ensuite par alliance dans la famille de Lattaignant.La seigneurie de Baronville (et comté de Bainville) est acquise en 1783 par le marquis Étienne François d'Aligre, premier président du parlement de Paris.
En 1868, son arrière-petit-fils le marquis de Pomereu d’Aligre fait raser le château de 1623 et édifier l’actuel, pour recevoir l'élite du Second Empire, par l’architecte Léon de Sanges.
Les mêmes artisans, hautement qualifiés, ont alors réalisé les couvertures et faîtages du château de Baronville, de Notre-Dame de Paris, du Mont Saint-Michel, mais aussi de la Statue de la Liberté à New York.
