Each year, dedicated candidates from communities across the country engage in a competition to earn the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) "Man & Woman of the Year" titles.
Raising funds for LLS blood cancer research, the candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.

My friends and I participate in the LLS Man/Woman of the Year campaign every year, and this year I was nominated by MWOY Alumnus Derek Kelly to be the official candidate.
We have all been touched by cancer throughout our lives and this is one way choose to come together and donate our time and resources.
Every dollar we raise throughout the campaign counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes/raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 or more through a series of fundraising events during the campaign.
