Child Guidance Resource Centers was founded in 1956 after separating from Media Child Guidance.
We began to provide important mental health services to the children of our community such as talk therapy, play therapy and family counseling.
After serving the Media Township for more than 40 years, we moved to our current location in Havertown, Pennsylvania..

In 2008, we expanded to Coatesville, PA, enabling Chester county residents to expand their community support systems.
In 2009, we began providing services in Montgomery County, including a private, special education school and wrap-around services.
In collaboration with SPIN Inc., Northeast Treatment Centers, and the city of Philadelphia, Child Guidance opened one of three Philadelphia Autism Centers for Excellence in 2012.
