Chùa Xá Lợi trước đây là một nông trại bỏ hoang nhiều năm, dân bản xứ sinh sống trong khu vực này đã xả bỏ rác rưởi và những đồ phế thải ngập đến tận đầu, rộng hơn 33 mẫu, khoảng12 mẫu là rừng cây, gần 3 mẫu là hồ nước với đồi đá cao mười mét bao bọc xung quanh, còn lại là đất trống bằng phẳng.
Trong nông trại, có một cái chuồng bò hai tầng, mỗi tầng rộng khoảng 2500 square feet và chưa có điện nước; có năm con suối nhỏ, nước hiền hòa trong suốt, chảy vòng quanh nông trại.
