Um Kindern und Jugendlichen, auch aus bildungsfernen Verhältnissen, die Entfaltung ihrer Potenziale zu ermöglichen, wurde 2004 Chancenwerk e.V.
gegründet (damals noch IBFS e.V.
- Interkultureller Bildungs- und Förderverein für Schüler und Studenten)..

Wir setzen dabei auf eine „Lernkaskade“:.
Das Konzept: Schüler der höheren Jahrgänge verschiedener Schulformen.
erhalten einmal pro Woche intensive Hilfe durch Studenten.
Diese werden über Kooperationen mit regionalen Hochschulen ausgesucht; die Bezahlung übernimmt das Chancenwerk.
Die Schüler wiederum verpflichten sich – anstatt für den Intensivkurs zu bezahlen – vorbereitet durch Workshops und unter Anleitung eines qualifi zierten Coachs selbst Wissen und Zeit an Kinder der unteren Jahrgänge weiterzugeben.
Das Hindernis „Geld“ in Bezug auf die Förderung von Kindern fällt weitgehend weg: Beim Chancenwerk zahlen Kinder der Unterstufe lediglich einen geringen Mitgliedsbeitrag, wenn sie am Programm teilnehmen.
Zur Finanzierung arbeiten wir mit regional aktiven Stiftungen und Unternehmen zusammen..
