This page will provide info on cancer and how you can get involved in the cause at Bates! 'Cats Against Cancer has a primary goal of uniting the Bates community in the fight against cancer, while reducing cancer incidences and mortality through education and support.

Our largest event is Relay For Life, an annual fundraising walk-a-thon held during Short Term.
Through a focus on a different cancer each month, Bates 'CAC holds multiple fundraisers throughout the year for various cancer foundations, collaborates with the Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing, provides a Grief Group to support those in the Bates community affected by cancer in various ways, and works to increase awareness and knowledge in the Bates community about healthy habits related to cancer.

In joining 'CAC, you are provided the opportunity to make a significant impact on those lives of those both within the Bates community and beyond..

We have also joined forces with 15-40 Connection.
15-40 is a national non-profit organization committed to raising awareness about the life-saving advantage of early cancer detection, especially for our age group.
15-40 Connection empowers young people to take personal responsibility for their health, check themselves for cancer and take assertive action in response to persistent health changes.

15-40 is now officially a part of 'Cats Against Cancer! The two organizations joined forces in order to work towards our common goals as one.
