The Catich Gallery was created in 1985 as a memorial to the Rev.
Edward M.
Catich–founder of the St.
Ambrose College Art Department in 1939 and world-renowned calligrapher, stone incisor and artist.
This intimate gallery was re-configured in 2002 to host contemporary art exhibits featuring the work of regional and national artists as well as faculty and seniors graduating with honors.
The Catich Gallery is a member of the Association of College & University Museums & Galleries..

The Galvin Fine Arts Center is also the home of the Morrissey Gallery - two showcases located in the lobby outside of the Allaert Auditorium.
Exhibitions in Morrissey feature works by local and regional emerging artists, and run for approximately 5-6 weeks during the academic calendar, and 6-8 weeks over the summer.
The exhibitions can include a variety of media but we are interested in work that supports our academic majors in Book Arts and Printmaking, Graphic Design, and Painting/Drawing..
