Castleton Cadets participate in Physical Training (PT) three times a week in the mornings, Class for one afternoon once a week and once a semester they will attend a weekend Leadership Training Exercise with the University of Vermont..

Cadets are not obligated to Army service until they contract no later than there Junior year and no earlier than your Freshman year.
Most commonly Cadets contract during their Sophmore year.
Cadets will be assessed throughout their time in the ROTC program and will attend Leadership Development Assessment Course (LDAC) during the summer between their Junior and Senior Year.
