Detailed description is Cass County Rescue Mission is a non-profit faith based organization supporting the members of our community in their time of need and working towards a greater good for Cass County, Missouri.
Mark Roach was called to go outside the church walls and preach at the City Union Mission in the men's shelter.
While serving there, God laid on his heart to open up a mission in Cass County because there wasn't one in the area at the time.
They started out with much prayer and lots of meetings to discuss and pray for God's direction.
They organized a banquet in April of 2012 and had over 300 people attend.
The sale of those tickets are what allowed them to open in May of 2012 with the help of a group of believers that shared the same vision.
They are not backed by a certain church, they didn't want that to deter anyone from coming.
This isn't about a church, it is about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They do help people in lots of ways besides the two meals on Saturday's.
