En el año 2003, los dirigentes de la Asociación Civil Lar Lusitano ubicada en San Diego y del Centro Portugués Venezolano ubicada en Naguanagua realizaron varias reuniones con el apoyo y participación del consulado general de Portugal en Valencia, Cónsul para ese entonces Dr.
Jorge Manuel Fernandes, el cual asistió de una manera perseverante y exclusiva con los dirigentes de los clubes, con el objeto de lograr la unión de ambos..

Una vez aprobada la unión se procede a la elección del nuevo nombre resultando por unanimidad “Casa Portuguesa Venezolana”.
La unificación de ambos clubes significó la recopilación y sacrificio de los inmigrantes (colonia portuguesa), que se dedicaron por más de 40 años a crear un espacio en San Diego y en Naguanagua, como parte de Portugal, en el cual se reunían para compartir su cultura, culinaria y costumbres portuguesas; gracias a esos portugueses y luso descendientes que desde hace muchos años atrás se dedicaron a la construcción de un centro social portugués hoy podemos contar con lo que tenemos y día a día lo perfeccionamos, en nombre de todos ellos que de una u otra forma y con mucho sacrificio contribuyeron con su granito de arena para el logro y la creación del mismo..

De allí surge el nacimiento de “Casa Portuguesa Venezolana” el día 12 de febrero de 2004, con los aportes de los bienes muebles e inmuebles de las asociaciones ya mencionadas..

Hoy estamos celebrando su sexto aniversario con la masa asociativa que de una manera voluntaria elige pertenecer a la membresía de esta gran familia lusitana.
Gracias a todos por ser parte de esta historia y progreso de nuestra casa club y pronto en un futuro no muy lejano, estaremos orgullosos de nuestra segunda casa.
