Detailed description is CCB was a non-profit 501c3 foster-home based pit bull rescue organization active between August 2009 and mid-2013.
June 18, 2009 was not the first day Siderman had spent time on the end of a chain – but it would be his last.
He was well-known at Orange County Animal Services for the many times he broke free and was picked up by Animal Control.
On this particular sunny June afternoon, as Siderman’s family drove away from collecting their dog from the shelter, he jumped out of the open truck window, and suffered a broken leg.
Because of his family’s financial situation they had the option to surrender the dog to another party that could care for him — or have him euthanized.
His family made the difficult decision to surrender Siderman to Hillsborough Veterinary Hospital..

Amanda Liston, a veterinary technician at another local vet hospital, was contacted because she was known for her advocacy for pit bulls.
With her partner Terry King’s blessing, Siderman began the next step in his journey.
Through small grants, and public support through social networking, Amanda and Terry were able to completely fund Siderman’s needed surgery.
Soon friends and colleagues began to ask, “What is the name of your rescue?” An unshakeable idea was planted..
