Detailed description is Il Trail running di Capo Mannu viene riproposto dopo qualche anno di assenza quando la corsa podistica lungo la costa del comune di San Vero veniva chiamata "Corri le Torri"..
Organizzato dall' A.S.C.,ente di promozione sportiva, in collaborazione con l' A.S.D.
Sardinia Sport Show, è quest'anno alla quarta edizione..
Se nelle prime tre edizioni vedevano i partecipanti impegnarsi durante il mese di Agosto, questa ultima edizione verrà svolta nel mese di Ottobre, quando il flusso turistico è ormai scemato, consentendo un tracciato "alternativo" ai tre precedenti..
Trail running che prende nome dall’omonimo promontorio, Capo Mannu, piccola perla posta nella costa ovest della Sardegna, in provincia di Oristano.

Dalla sua maestosa altezza, a Ovest sull’orizzonte marino, si vede la piatta e distante isola Mal di Ventre, mentre verso l’entroterra, le distese di campi arati quasi senza fine ed i tratti di cespugliati con lentischio, rosmarino ed altre essenze vegetali tipiche della costa sarda.
Tutto concorre ad esaltare l’aspetto insolito ed incontaminato di quest’ambiente..
Il capo, con le sue rupi di calcare giallastro alte oltre 50 metri e le belle torri di Capo Mannu e Sa Mora, segna il settore settentrionale della penisola del Sinis, la costa più famosa dell’Oristanese.
Più a sud, dopo un tratto di spiaggia e basse scogliere dove sorgono i piccoli centri balneari di Porto Mandriola, Putzu Idu e S’Arena Scoada, a partire da Punta s’Incodina la costa si innalza con un solitario tavolato di franosa roccia calcarea, che precipita in mare da un’altezza media di 25 metri..
Capo Mannu, grazie alla sua posizione che la espone a tutti i venti dei quadranti occidentali e soprattutto al maestrale, è divenuta famosa in Europa per gli amanti del surf, del windsurf e del kite..
Il percorso, di media difficoltà si sviluppa totalmente su terreno naturale, lunghi single track, saliscendi continui e un picco notevole verso il dominante faro che scollina la “salita del faro”..
Il percorso prende il via e termina nella località di Mandriola e si estende per tutta la penisola arrivando fino a Su Pallosu.
Dopo aver ammirato dall’alto della torre Capo Mannu il golfo retrostante Sa Saia Manna che divide Sa Rocca Tunda dalla Spiaggia di Putzu Idu, si scende raidamente verso la spiaggia di Sa mesa Longa costeggiandola e toccando la punta estrema di Su Pallosu di fronte all’isolotto per iniziare il tratto di rientro che vi porterà all’arrivo dopo qualche chilometro…..
