Detailed description is Our mission is to promote an appreciation for the colorful history of Cambria and the surrounding area among residents and visitors through our museum and welcome center.
Cambria has a rich history dating back to the 1860’s.
The Guthrie-Bianchini House, now known as the Cambria Historical Museum, was built in 1870 from locally milled pine in the salt-box section, and then in 1882 the second section was added and constructed of Santa Cruz redwood.
The last family to live in the house was the Bianchini Family from 1914 to 1971.
The Bianchini heirs were embroiled in contentious litigation for 30 years before the Historical Society was able to purchase it in 2001.

Nestled in the Historic and scenic East Village of Cambria, the museum is dedicated to sharing Cambria’s heritage and preserving it as a place of discovery.
