The Priyatam Dharam Sabha was first established more than a century ago by Shri Priyatamdev Sharma and Shree Harivalabhdev Sharma, in what is now modern day Karachi, Pakistan.
Several high schools and primary schools, vyayamashallas and well stocked libraries were run under the auspices of the Sabha.
Progressive and forward thinking, the Sabha was an advocate of education and empowerment for women, and one of the first instititions to start "narishallas"..

Forced to flee Sind and what was to become Pakistan, the good people involved in funding and managing these activities were scattered and the Sabha disintegrated..
