Elland and organized the Bucklin Christian Church.
In time the church would receive its charter from the state, build a new building, and begin its ministry in Bucklin.
Through the years the church would change as the town's population changed, saw a new building built on the current site, withstood tornadoes, and loved the people of Bucklin..

In 2006, the church celebrated its Centennial celebration of 100 years of ministry in Bucklin, KS (The current building will be 100 years old in 2017).
Though many things have changed through those 100 years, the desire to serve God in southwest Kansas has stayed constant.
