The Brisbane Valley Kilcoy Landcare group established in 1989 encompassing the regions of Esk, Toogoolawah, Colinton, Moore, Linville, Jimna, Kilcoy, Hazeldean, Somerset Dam, Crossdale, Sheepstation Creek, Neurum, Woodford, and Commissioners Flat.

Past achievements have included establishing the Water Watch monitoring program, revegetation of the Caboonbah Homestead through the Blackmores grant and acquiring a Yeomans Plow for hire to members though our Leighton’s Salinity Assault project.
Throughout our 22 year history we have provided many specific field days be it Giant Rat’s Tail control, timber and forest management, small property planning, Grass Check, fire property planning, dung beetles, and many weed days.
We will continue to hold field days as needed.More recently, we have had great success in obtaining a grant from the Governments Everyone’s Environment grant for the Harlin Reach Restoration project , on the Brisbane River following the floods.
The project could not have been undertaken without the huge commitment of the landholders and the support and input of SEQ Catchments staff.
There was also a contribution from the Somerset RC Flood recovery fund.We also held a popular Small Property planning day at Mt Beppo, attended by over twenty participants.
