I am a team member of Ric O'Barry's Dolphin Project and have traveled around the world to protect dolphins and other cetaceans from their number one predator - humans. In March 2011, while in Japan documenting the Dall's porpoise hunts (the largest single cetacean slaughter on the planet at the time) in Iwate Prefecture I was caught at ground-zero of the great Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, only surviving due to quick action to get off the water and to higher ground.
