Horses are natural foragers and are designed to graze throughout the entire day.
After years of domesticating these animals we have removed them from their natural state of eating “less quality” hay throughout the entire day to eating “high quality” hay during 2-4 feedings daily.

At Bradshaw Hay Company, we spend countless hours maintaining luscious coastal fields by keeping them clean, fertilized and irrigated.
The hay we produce off these fields is cut on a strict schedule to assure the grass is a desirable length to provide easy digestion, prevent impactions and have the highest amount of nutrient content at time of cutting.
It is imperative to us that the grass in each bale is soft and tender, making it more palatable to your equine or other livestock.
Our square bales are barn stored to prevent waste, molding and bleaching.
Each square bale is CLEAN!! Square bales are two-string tied and baled with up to date equipment and the strongest string so bales are solid and will not bust.
Round bales are high quality coastal hay as well, safe and recommended for horses, even lactating mares, and will be net and edge wrapped.

We understand customers dread when the time comes to handle square bales and we couldn't agree more.
We've taken extensive measures to offer an easier way of handling square bales and also, now offer unloading and stacking among our services.
We bundle each two-string square bale in a 3X4X8 bundle that can be handled with hay spears or pallet forks so you will not have to unload and stack each square bale by hand, unless you want to of course.
If you do not have access to a front end loader with hay spears, you can arrange for unloading OR you simply cut the strings on your bundle of hay and there sits your 21 square bales ready to be moved.
The bundles have been a HUGE HIT among our customers for the ease of handling and efficient shipping and storing as bundles are tightly compacted taking up less space than stacking each bale by hand.

Our coastal fields are inspected daily for quality.
Each bale of hay is inspected right off the baler, again when stacked in the barn and once again when stacked for our customer.
Any bale of question is set aside and priced accordingly.

Our fields are irrigated and are used solely to produce hay.

Due to our set-up, we irrigate and typically get more cuttings per year than average and our fields yield more than average as they are so rich.
We produce LARGE quantities of well over 100,000 small square bales and 3,000-5,000 round bales that are offered to the public yearly.
