Dance - I have danced since I was 2 1/2 years old.
Aww, cute! I started in ballet, tap, and jazz, moved on to modern, did stints of learning in Swing, ballroom dance, country line dancing, country western 2 step/10 step/waltz, Flamenco, and finally found belly dance.
Belly dance is where my heart will stay.

Fine Art: Painting - Currently, I paint abstract paintings.
My last series was titled 10% and was a comment on the world's global warming problem, specifically the loss of glacial ice over the past 30 years.
30 years ago, the 30% of the earth was covered in ice.
Today, only 10% of the earth is covered in ice and that number is dropping.
I've always been interested in environmental causes and will continue to have that theme come up in my art work time and again..

Event Promotion - I've been planning events as long as I can remember.
As a young adult, out on my own, I started planning parties at my home - but these weren't just any party...
they had a theme, decor and activities to fit the theme, food and beverages did as well.
And I would go and hand out flyers in public places for some of them to get as many people there as possible.
I've helped put on promotional events for Kodak back when I was a corporate gal.
I used to put on a raging fun event called "Block Jam" with my boss at The Block Shop.
Block Jam involved X-Game style stunt riders, rock bands, vendors, great food, and fun! Those were a blast to put together.
Also, in conjunction with The Block Shop, I helped put on our local Battle of the Bands - a competition with rock bands battling for the title of top band, cash prizes, and recording studio time.

Once I found my love for belly dance, I got involved with MECDA, the Middle Eastern Culture & Dance Association.
I learned so many invaluable things working for such a great organization.
I started out helping out our local desert chapter and moved on to heading the chapter as the President.
We put on several annual events per year, an annual workshop "Summer Workshop Series", an annual festival "Dance in the Desert" later to be called "Day of the Dance", and our annual holiday event, "Jingle All the Way" for charity.
After years of working as the chapter President, I added Happenings Editor to my title (designing and creating the most elaborate monthly online newsletter (and later online magazine) that the organization has had to date.
A few years in, I ran and won the title of National President of MECDA and began producing their annual event, Cairo Caravan (previously known as Cairo Carnivale).
With the help of my team, we took the event from a great festival boasting approximately 2,000 attendees to the countries largest belly dance festival with over 4,000 attendees in 3 days! It was phenomenal.
We moved the event from it's previous location, the Santa Anita Parkway, to the Queen Mary - filled with luxury and style.

In 2012, I decided to go out on my own.
Debi Varvi and I partnered up to start Siren Song Productions.
Our focus for events are all art based.
