Blind Badger Ranch Hay is offering the highest quality horse and livestock hay! Call Today! Blind Badger Ranch is located in Fort Morgan, Colorado and is owned by Jim Hett and Bud Gamel.
Jim and Bud established the ranch south of Fort Morgan in 1999 when they purchased 12,000 acres of pasture and dryland farm ground.
Blind Badger Ranch now consists of 5,800 acres of dryland and 1,200 acres irrigated ground that supports wheat, millet, corn and hay.
In addition, we run 6,000 acres of pasture grass.
This 450 cow/calf operation consists primarily of Maine-Anjou, Angus and Simmental influenced females that are the base for our program.
Our breeding program consists of an extensive artificial insemination and ET program.
Our program is designed for calving in February through May.
The pairs are then run on native grasses through the summer.
A group of calves will be hand-picked and broke in preparation for our annual Back to the Basics production sale in November.
Bull calves are sold at NWSS and the Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic with the remainder offered private treaty at the ranch..

Where weeds and pests are controlled to maintain the best quality product for you and your livestock! The hay is either baled in small square bales (approximately 70 lbs) or large round bales (approximately 1350 lbs).
All small square bales are stored in a hay barn, out of all of Colorado’s unpredictable weather.
