Detailed description is Black Bark Studio is a visual arts studio that will be providing summer art day camps for children ages 4-14.
We also offer adult classes and community programming as well as birthday party & staff party services! Hi there, my name is Ericka Anderson and I am a lucky recipient of the Ontario Student Summer Business Grant! Over the summer I aim to provide accessible art programming for children of various age through art day camps..

Summer Art Camps will be held at Seven Generations (the old Lakewood school)..

Day camps will run weekly (excluding holidays i.e Canada Day) beginning June 27th 2016 to September 2nd 2016..

Campers will sign up for weekly sessions based on themes and interests (reference weekly theme chart).
Although each week will have a specific theme or focus, every week will include experimenting and working with a variety of mediums as well as allowing time for outdoor field games..

I have recently graduated from Lakehead University's Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts program with a focus in ceramics and sculpture.
In my spare time I enjoy working with watercolours and experimenting with mixed media.
I have experience running summer art camps out of the Thunder Bay Art Gallery and have also successfully completed an internship assisting in teaching a first year university conceptual ceramics class.
On top of this, my experience working for Lakehead University as a ceramics technician has given me hands on and in depth experience in studio and safety practices..

Most weeks of day camp will be structured into half day camps..
Mornings: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (5 -7 year olds).
Afternoons: 1:00 PM- 4:00PM (8-10 year olds).
Half day camps are $130.00/per child for the week.
(This price includes all materials but not food).

Select weeks will be full day camps for 11- 13 year olds interested in in depth art lessons..
Full day camps will be $260.00/per child for the week..
