Detailed description is Arbequina olive orchard located in the Capay Valley, CA We are a family farm located in the heart of Capay Valley, Ca.
The Capay Valley is located on the west side of Cache Creek Casino and our little town of Guinda is approximatley 10 miles west of the casino..
We planted our first olive trees in 2007 and planted 1000 trees of the Arbequina varietel..
Our first harvest of the olives was in 2012.
We picked over 8,000 lbs of olives and yielded over 120 gallons of oil..
Our second harvest was in 2013.
We picked over 15,000 lbs of olives and yielded over 275 gallons of oil..
The flavor of the oil is wonderfully rich and deep.
It has an intense but not overpowering taste on the palette..
In 2012 we planted 430 vines of grapes.
The vines are a field blend of cabernet, cabernet franc, and petite syrah..
In 2012, we also planted a cherry orchard of mini royal and mini lees..
In 2013, we planted 1000 pistachio trees..
We always have and always will practice organic planting and farming; however, we are not certified as an "organic" farm by the state of California..
