Banfield Teatro Ensamble es una compañía artística independiente dedicada a la investigación escénica y realización de actividades culturales.
Desde su creación en 1996, muchas de sus producciones fueron presentadas en festivales y salas de la Capital y del interior del país, premiadas y subsidiadas a nivel provincial y nacional.
La compañía representó a la Argentina en el Festival de Teatro Juvenil “PlayOff/06”, Alemania; “Primer Encuentro de Teatro Iberoamericano en la Patagonia”, Chile; “Primer encuentro de Esquemas Asociativos Solidarios”, Venezuela; XI Festival Internacional de Teatro y Artes Escénicas “Máscaras del Tiempo”, Perú, bajo el auspicio de la Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación; VI Festival Internacional de Danza Contemporánea “Andanza”, Bolivia; Festival “ULLS Barcelona Cultura, “Festival Internacional de Tarragona”, Festivla “FIT de Cádiz” (España); Festival Internacional de Teatro de Miami (EE.UU.), Festival Santiago a Mil (Chile), Festival Racconigi y VIE Festival (Italia), Festival “Gulbenkian Próximo Futuro” (Portugal), y Festival “Sens Interdits” (Francia).

El complejo cultural:.
La compañía Banfield Teatro Ensamble fundó su primera sede en el año 2000 bajo la modalidad de teatro-bar.
En este espacio se realizaron numerosas obras de teatro, funciones de café concert, espectáculos musicales, encuentros y festivales con gran repercusión de público.

En el año 2004, Banfield Teatro Ensamble se trasladó a un nuevo espacio que le permitió ampliar sus instalaciones y diversificar sus actividades convirtiéndose en uno de los complejos culturales más grandes de la zona sur.
El edificio cuenta una sala principal con una capacidad para 250 espectadores, en las cuales se realizan proyecciones, funciones de teatro, música, danza y café concert; una segunda sala subsuelo con capacidad para 30 personas, un restó-bar con espacio para charlas, debates y actividades alternativas; una galería para exposiciones de artes plásticas; un taller para la realización de escenografías.
En el primer piso del Complejo se ubica la Escuela de Arte que cuenta con cuatros salas-aulas y un laboratorio de fotografía.
La propuesta de la Escuela de Arte del Complejo Cultural Banfield Teatro Ensamble es la generación de un espacio alternativo y multidisciplinario para la formación, experimentación y producción artísticas.

Banfield Teatro Ensamble, Declarado de Interés Provincial Cultural, ha contado con el apoyo de la Dirección Nacional de la Juventud (DINAJU), el Instituto Nacional de Teatro (INT), el Fondo Nacional de las Artes y la Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación.
