Our history began when we were Medical College of Georgia Hospital (MCG Pharmacy Residency) and our pharmacy program has been ASHP accredited since 1975.
UGA College of Pharmacy faculty members have been residency preceptors since the early years.
Our eight residents receive a stipend as both full time AU Medical Center employees and UGA graduate students..

Augusta University Pharmacy Residency Program is a 12-month ASHP accredited pharmacy residency program.
Residents are appointed as graduate teaching assistants for the College of Pharmacy and earn graduate school credit for components of the residency, including clinical pharmacy, teaching and research activities.
UGA awards a graduate certificate for successful completion of the residency program.
