Detailed description is Athol Orchards is a quaint, family-owned farm committed to growing organic, "antique" varieties of apples.
We have a fruitful future ahead.
Watch us grow! We are just now in our infancy, but the excitement is difficult to contain! Athol Orchards is located East of the small town of Athol, Idaho where a historic one-room school house once stood.
The school house was removed years ago but what still remains on site are the remnants of a glorious, homestead-aged orchard.
Inspired by the history of the property and the trees that still remain, we decided that we would revitalize the orchards, adding new life and a commitment towards growing organic antique and heirloom varieties of apples.
Plans are in the works to add a commercial kitchen/bakery, fresh-pressed and hard ciders, a u-pick season in the fall for our local community, and more apple products than your heart can take.
Once we have a productive crop, we hope to become regulars at our local farmer's markets and perhaps even have our apples and apple products featured in the small local grocers.
