Detailed description is We are an enthusiastic group of gardeners with varying levels of horticultural experience who live in and around Athens, Ontario - Canada.

We meet at 7 p.m.
on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from January to June and from September to November in the Athens District High School cafeteria, unless otherwise noted..
.
Please note that, when school buses are cancelled due to winter storms, the school is closed, so our meeting must be rescheduled.

The January meeting is membership night.
Annual dues are $10 individual, $15 family.
Non-members pay $3 per evening.
Members unable to attend may renew by mail.

Please join Master Gardener Mary Ann Van Berlo, President, of the Brockville Horticultural Society to learn more about creating a flowerbed from the ground up.
This will include general gardening tips, improving your soil, mulching, and design ideas.

As a follow up to this talk, we will be visiting her garden on the St.

What do you do if you don’t have a lot of room, or you want a burst of colour in your yard, without all of the extra work involved in preparing a new flowerbed? Donna White of Green Things will discuss the many creative ways we can plant everything from flowers, to herbs, to vegetables in containers or raised beds.
She will do a demo and suggest ideas for containers to enhance your patio or yard..

As a follow up to our March meeting on creating a flower bed, we’ll have the opportunity to tour Mary Ann Van Berlo’s wonderful garden on the St.
