Detailed description is The ASPIRE program at La Pine high school is a program designed to recruit and train mentors in the community to help students with the college admissions process as well as assist students in gaining access to financial aide and scholarships.
The ASPIRE program provides one-on-one mentoring to help students continue their educations beyond high school.
Adult volunteers assist them in scholarship search, career and college exploration, choice and application.
All volunteers are screened including a background check.
Mentors meet with students before or after school, during study hall or release between once a month to once a week.
Volunteers are fully trained.
