Detailed description is A group of parents whose children receive special education support in the Attleboro public schools.
The Attleboro SEPAC (ASEPAC) is an organization that provides information and support to families and school staff.
We advocate for children in the Attleboro Public Schools (APS) special education programs as well as students who receive special education support in a general education classroom.
Since 1986, Massachusetts special education law (Chapter 71B of the Massachusetts General Laws) requires all public school districts to maintain a Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) open to all parents and guardians of students who receive special education support services and other interested parties.
The SEPAC works with the Director of Special Education, the School Committee, the Superintendent, teachers and support staff to promote a successful educational environment for our students.
The SEPAC endeavors to ensure that all students have fair and equal access to educational opportunities, and that our schools are safe, nurturing, and challenging learning environments.
