The University of Montana Archaeological Field School in Patagonia is a program designed to introduce students interested in archaeology, anthropology, ecology, and international travel, to the archaeology and cultures of Chilean Patagonia.
The program is supported through the University of Montana and the Centro de Investigación en Ecosistemas de la Patagonia (CIEP).
The project focus is on archaeological excavations at a magnificent rockshelter site that includes a multitude of rock art images and affords a spectacular view of the Cerro Castillo mountain range.
