Detailed description is The general purpose of the Animal Law Section shall be the promotion of the objectives of the State Bar of New Mexico within the field of Animal Law.
The Animal Law Section conducts the following activities as a way of promoting and meeting the objectives of the State Bar of New Mexico:.

The section sponsors a popular "Animal Talk" series in which a speaker presents a lunch hour talk on a topic related to Animal Law.
Over the course of the year, Animal Talk covers a wide array of topics.
For example, the section sponsored a talk on drafting trusts for the care of animals and pets, a topic that generated interest over a variety of areas of law.
In 2015, the section will present talks dedicated to discussion of animal-related legislation during and after the 60-day session.
