and International tours in 2010.
The album, which was produced by Charles Newman (whose long relationship with the Magnetic Fields produced Realism and 69 Love Songs), brought AM considerable acclaim with what Q Magazine described as “a rare talent, juggling everything from steamy tropicalia, to acoustic ballads, to shimmering ’70?s pop” and Spin described as “distinctive melodic swagger.” Future Sons & Daughters was also named one of Rough Trade’s “Top 100 Best Albums of 2010″..

In 2011 AM partnered with London based groove master Shawn Lee on a new full length entitled Celestial Electric.
Recording the record in two separate cities (AM in Los Angeles and Shawn Lee in London) the response was almost unanimous that something special had happened with the collaboration.
A sound Tiny Mix Tapes described as " blurring funk, pop, and “world music” genres beyond their established capabilities, yet remaining so true to a classic aesthetic that the album could be dug out of a crate without a label and confound listeners to pinpoint its origin.” Upon hearing the album Thievery Corporation signed the band to their ESL label.

AM & Shawn Lee spent most of late 2011 and much of 2012 touring Celestial Electric including two US and European headlining runs, a support tour with Thievery Corporation and festival appearances worldwide including Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival, River's Edge Festival in St.
Paul, MN, New York State Fair, Le Printemps De Bourges in France, and Motel Mozaique in Holand.
The band was also invited to play Paris' ultra chic, David Lynch owned Club Silencio.
The duo also managed to record the follow up to Celestial Electric in between touring demonstrating their seamless working relationship.
The new album, entitled La Musique Numerique, is expected to be out May 7th, 2013..
