Das "Alte Kapitänshaus Midlum" ist ein reetgedecktes Friesenhaus im ruhigen, historischen Ortskern der Gemeinde, umgeben von idyllischen Bauerngärten und Reetdachhäusern.
Wir bieten Ihnen hier eine gemütliche Ferienunterkunft für zwei bis sechs Personen.

Die Geschichte des Hauses.
.
Das „Alte Kapitänshaus Midlum“ wurde um 1760 erbaut, fiel jedoch im Jahre 1802 einem Großbrand in der Gemeinde Midlum zum Opfer.
Erst 1849 wurde das Gebäude dann wieder neu aufgebaut.
In der Zeit von 1893 bis 1954 befand sich das Haus im Eigentum des Kapitäns Hinrich Flor Rörden (1858-1954), der auf dem Friedhof von St.
Johannis in Nieblum beerdigt wurde..

Aus der Ehe von Kapitän Rörden und seiner Frau Namine Christine geborene Hassold gingen zwei Töchter und ein Sohn hervor.
Seine Tochter Lydia (1898-1951) übernahm das Gebäude später mit ihrem Ehemann Johannes Hartmann, dem damaligen Dorfschullehrer der Gemeinde Midlum..

Seit 1996 befindet sich das Haus in unserem Eigentum.
