Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Maryland.
The School opened its doors to Kindergarten and First Grade students in September of 1989, adding one grade per year until reaching fifth grade.
The first class of fifth graders graduated in 1994.
In 2000, Aleph Bet was awarded accreditation by the Association for Independent Maryland Schools and earned a Certificate of Approval from the State of Maryland.
