Detailed description is Alipurduar High School (HS) Centenary Celebration 2015-16 Alipurduar High School (H.S.), now known by this name started its journey way back in 1916, just an year earlier than the famous Bolshevik Revolution of Soviet Union.
Though started as a primary school, soon it incorporated the upper primary and secondary sections to cater to the needs of the pupils of Alipurduar and surrounding rural areas.
The school was recognised by Calcutta University w.e.f.
1919.
The school came under the inspectorate of Secondary Schools in 1948 through salary deficit scheme.
Soon it was recognised as the only Higher Secondary Institution of this locality w.e.f.
1.1.1957 with humanities, science and commerce streams..
