Ali Sami Yen Stadyumu, İstanbul'un Mecidiyeköy semtinde, Galatasaray Futbol Takımı'nın maçlarını oynadığı ve Galatasaray Spor Kulübü'nün 1 numaralı üyesi Ali Sami Yen'in adını taşıyan eski stadyum.Tarihçeİlk yıllarGalatasaray 1930'lu yıllarda bugünkü Taksim Parkı'nın yeraldığı bölgede kurulu olan Taksim Stadı'nda maçlarını oynamaktaydı.
1939 yılında kentsel dönüşüm projesi kapsamında Taksim Stadı'nın da içinde yer aldığı tarihi Taksim Kışlası yıkılınca stat da ortadan kalkmış oldu.
1930'lu yıllarda Fenerbahçe, Papazın Çayırı olarak bilinen araziyi mülkiyetine alarak Fenerbahçe Stadı haline getirirken, Beşiktaş da şimdiki Çırağan Oteli'nin yerindeki Şeref Stadı'nda maçlarını oynamaya başladı.
Aynı dönemde stat konusunda en büyük problemi Galatasaray yaşamıştır.Stadyum sorununun aşılması için ilk adımlar 1930'lu yılların başında atıldı.
Mecidiyeköy’deki dutluk bir arazinin Galatasaray'a kazandırılması için ilk girişim 1933 yılında dönemin başkanı Ali Haydar Barşal tarafından yapılmıştı.
