My name is Alex Hammond and I am proud to be your candidate for Waddington Town Supervisor..

I was born and raised in the beautiful town of Waddington, first on the Allison road not to far from the village, and now on County Route 28 less than a mile from Sharlow's Gas Station.
My parents were both raised in small St.
Lawrence County towns, and when they decided to settle down they knew that Waddington was the perfect place to raise a family.
My parents raised me to be a strong and independent person who cares for his neighbors and his community.
I want to help keep Waddington the great town that I grew up in, while at the same time making advances that keep the town modern and lively while using its strategic history and heritage to do so.
This is why I am running for Town Supervisor..

For those who may not know me, my love for Waddington first began when I was young.
Riding the bus to the beach in the summer, and participating in the many great events that surround our homecoming celebration are some of my fondest memories.
Later, I entered Valley Forge Military College and graduated in 2016 with an Associates Degree concentrating in Government/Politics, summa cum laude.
While at Valley Forge, I was enrolled in the Army Early Commissioning Program and upon graduation received my commission as an officer in the grade of 2nd Lieutenant.
I currently serve in the New York Army National guard with the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team located in Syracuse NY.
After graduating, I transferred to The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University.
While at home, I have remained an active member of our community.
I first served as a Lifeguard for the Waddington Town Beach during the summers, and assisted the Freemasons, Lodge 393, in their Child ID Program.
Most recently I have been serving as a substitute teacher for Madrid- Waddington Central School..

I hope to continue to serve our great community as your Town Supervisor.
I bring new, trained, and experienced leadership to the race, and as Town Supervisor I hope to work with both the board and the Village Government to ensure Waddington remains the great town we all know and love..
