Detailed description is De AKI is de kleinste academie van Nederland, gevormd in de jaren zestig en tot de dag van vandaag schatplichtig aan de uitgangspunten van toen: individueel onderwijs, zo weinig mogelijk bepaald door structuren of controlesystemen, zo veel mogelijk gericht op de menselijke maat en op het eigen initiatief van studenten en docenten.
De AKI is onderdeel van ArtEZ Hogeschool, maar we hechten zeer aan onze autonomie als klein-schalige academie.
