ACSFCEM tuvo su origen en el año 1999, cuando un grupo de afectados se conocieron en las salas de espera de un gran Hospital, donde esperaban ser recibidos por el único médico especialista en SFC que había en todo el país.
En sus grupos GAM acabó por tomar cuerpo la idea de crear la asociación, la primera asociación de SFC de España..
