He got his initial education from “Rawalpindi and Gujrat”.
He took his Bachelors’ degree from Sir Syed College Rawalpindi.
For masters he went to the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad and took his master’s degree in social sciences from there.
After that he started teaching in Aitchison College which is one of the most respected institutes of Pakistan.
But he soon realized that singing is his passion and now he is not being able to hide his talent anymore so he started working on his first album.
Abrar-ul-Haq started his singing career in 1995 with debut album “billo de ghar”.
The song “billo de ghar” was the most popular song of that album.
With this debut album he earned a lot of fame.
According to an estimate more than 16 million copies of his debut album have been sold.
Encouraged by the success of first album he released his second album “Majajni” in 1997.
His third album “bay ja cycle te” was released in 1999.
His fourth album was “Asaan jana mall-o-mall” and was released in 2002.
His fifth album “Nachan main audhay nall nall” was released in 2004.
Abrar-ul-haq’s latest album “naara sadha ishq aey” came out in March 2007.
Other than music Abrar-ul-haq also founded a charitable organization SAHARA which is an abbreviation of “Services Aimed at Health and Awakening in Remote Areas”.
Its aim is to promote health and education in remote areas.
Abrar-ul-haq also founded a hospital named “sugra shafi medical complex” in Narowal.
In December 2011 it was reported that Abrar ul Haq had joined the Pakistani political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Ans: I was born on the hot summer day of 1969 in Faisalabad; to be precise it was 21st of July. My roots belong to a small town called Narrowal. My childhood was spent travelling from one city to another, since my father was civil servant and was posted to different cities of Pakistan during the time he served. My family moved to Gujrat when I was toddler and therefore I received my early education from Junior Model School Gujrat. The principal of the school had a personality with dynamic leadership traits; our principal went on a talent hunt and provided opportunities for students like me by encouraging them to appear on stage to deliver speeches, participate in Kalam-e-Iqbal events and sing national songs. My name was also put forward for recitation of Naat and Husn-e-Qirat. I paid my school back by winning prizes for them and by becoming a source of pride for my institution. My family’s next stop was in Islamabad where I was admitted in Sunrise Cambridge School for my secondary education. For my bachelor’s degree I chose to go to Sir Syed College Rawalpindi and finally for my master’s I was accepted by the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. However, even after gaining master’s degree my hunger for knowledge did not end there. Therefore, I decided to enroll myself in Punjab Law College to empower myself with law education. I was inspired by my father’s saying that one must know the law of the land and therefore my interest developed in jurisprudence, science of making law, which enabled my sense of justice and jurist. This hobby or extra education helped me launch myself in politics. Leaving Islamabad behind us, we then moved to Lahore, a city of open-hearted people. I decided to pursue my professional career in education sector. I was appointed to teach Geography in Aitchison College Lahore, one of the most esteemed institutions of South Asia. My tenure lasted for almost a year and a half. Teaching at Aitchison has a significant importance in my life as it was a unique experience in its own way and will last a lifetime. My students from then still come and pay respect and out of them one of my students, Wahab Riaz, is now popular for his own achievements in the field of cricket. It makes me a very proud teacher to see my students succeed in life; however it does make me feel old too. From here started an era of stardom for me which led to being nominated in awards and then a series of awards were presented to me by different organizations. Among these awards, the most significant ones are the three presidential awards that I received for two reasons. The first reason for these awards was of course singing and the second reason was the foundation of Sahara for Life Trust, the NGO which made me step forward towards humanitarian causes and serve the social causes. I was awarded the presidential award, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, by the then president of Pakistan, General Pervaiz Musharraf. Later on I was awarded another presidential award of a higher status, Sitara-e-Israr, for supporting the distressed Pakistanis during the floods in 2010 and 2011. Finally the third presidential award which is also known as the Human Rights Awards was handed over to me for my services to mankind. I have also been successful in holding my position as ‘The Face of Coca Cola’ for the last six years as their brand ambassador. Not to mention, Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) also handed me their ambassadorship. I am privileged to be the first ever Humanitarian Ambassador for 57 Islamic countries for doing social work, serving humanity and serving the Ummah, therefore I am bestowed with this unique honor as well.
