BIOGRAPHY.

I was born to Shri Bankey Bihari Verma and Smt Urmila Devi on 05.01.1973.
Married to Amrita Prakash on Nov.
30, 2001, I am the proud father of two daughters Asmi and Avni..
I am a native of a small village Baniyapur, Harpur Karah in Chapra, Bihar but was brought up in Darbhanga.
Born in an ordinary family I did my schooling at Raj High School, Darbhanga.
I graduated in History from C.M.
college Darbhanga and came to Delhi in 1993 for pursuing LLB from Faculty of Law, Delhi University.
As soon as I came to Delhi I joined ABVP as I wanted to do something for the protection of rights of students and their welfare and security.
In 1993 only I came across the problem faced by those students who could not answer the question paper of law faculty of Delhi University properly, it being only in English language.
Hence I initiated a movement against this and also constituted a committee for the protection and development of Hindi language in the Law faculty (Hindi Sanrakshan evam Samvardhan Samiti).
This Hindi movement went on uptill April, 1996 when I had to go for a 7 day hunger strike so that the students could be provided question paper in Hindi as well.
Finally the movement succeeded and since then the students are facilitated with bilingual question paper for LLB exams in Delhi University.
In the meanwhile in 1994-1995 I was elected as the sports secretary in the student union of Law Faculty and later in 1995-1996 I was elected as the President of the student union of the Law faculty and was also awarded with the Best Union Award of Delhi University..
I started practicing as an advocate after getting the degree of LLB in 1996 and also got associated with the Adhiwakta Parishad.
As an advocate also I was very keen to do social work and get justice for needy people and therefore whenever such things came to my notice I tried to solve them and am still continuing to do so.
In 2003 I got elected as the youngest representative of Bar Council of Delhi and also became its Honorary Secretary and worked for the welfare of the lawyers.
Noticing my dedication and contribution towards the welfare of lawyers the members of the bar once again elected me in 2009 as one of the representatives of Bar Council of Delhi and that too with maximum number of votes ever in the 50 years history of the Bar Council of Delhi.
Being a representative of Bar Council I always raised my voice against corruption and against people who took admission in colleges and joined the profession also on the basis of fake certificates and marksheets and it was only due to this that the administrative action was taken against such people..
In 2007 I got associated with Legal cell of Delhi BJP and later in 2010 I was made the convenor of Poorvanchal Prakoshth of Delhi BJP being on which post I worked for the people of Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh residing in Delhi.
People from various states come to Delhi it being the national capital of India for further studies and livelihood.
In past several years people from Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh have increased remarkably and since Chatth Puja is the biggest festival they celebrate, I agitated before the Delhi Government to declare public holiday on this day keeping in view the changing demography of Delhi.
However I could not succeed..
I always kept on working for the basic facilities being provided to the people of Delhi and due to this I protested against the unjustified hike in the electricity bills of Delhiites by the Congress Government and brought forward the corruption done by the Chief Minister and the D.E.R.C.
keeping hands in gloves with each other.
The surplus money obtained because of the profit of electricity companies was to be distributed amongst Delhiites and thus electricity bills were to be lowered but instead it was increased bringing unnecessary burden over them and therefore I filed a criminal complaint against the Chief Minister, Mrs Sheila Dikshit and D.E.R.C after which the BJP initiated its electricity movement and promised to reduce the bill by 30% if its Government is formed in 2013 Assembly Elections..
Delhi Development Authority in connivance with Delhi Government had planned well to remove the people especially farmers living in the Yamuna Khadar region in Laxminagar Vidhansabha of Delhi and I therefore moved by their grievances and grieves am giving them every possible legal assistance and am determined to not let them be removed from there..
I had also contested Assembly election in 2013 in Delhi from Laxminagar vidhansabha.
At present I am the Vice-President of Delhi BJP and am continuously working for the welfare and protection of rights of Delhiites.
I undertake to keep working for the betterment and development of the people of our country..
