Detailed description is Voyager en train, en Puisaye est une expérience à part entière..
Il faut vouloir prendre son temps, adopter le rythme lent et berçant de la voie ferrée.

Créée à Laroche en 1985, l'AATY (Association des autorails touristiques de l'Yonne) a pu acquérir un premier " Picasso " pour le train touristique envisagé de Montargis à St-Sauveur.
Il a été inauguré en 1987 et a pu circuler, sous convention avec la SNCF, jusqu'en 1992, avec plus de 30 000 voyageurs.
L'AATY avait remis en état une section de 4 km, de St-Sauveur aux Étangs de Moutiers.
La SNCF a voulu vendre les 53 km (90 hectares) de Charny à St-Sauveur, et c'est le SIVU qui, avec pugnacité, a pu sauver les rails de Puisaye.
Le retour du train touristique a eu lieu le 8 août 1998.
La ligne a été débroussaillée de Toucy aux Étangs de Moutiers, et de Villiers-St-Benoît à Charny.
Les 9 km de ligne à voie normale de Toucy à Villiers-St-Benoît l'ont été par les bénévoles de l'AATY.
L'association a son siège et son dépôt en gare de Toucy.
L'exploitation est assurée par le " Picasso " X3814 et la RGP2 (Rame Grand Parcours) X2716 restaurée à la fin du siècle dernier (2000).
Un second " Picasso ", le X3871 .
Du matériel servant aux travaux : une draisine " Billard " de 1930, un locotracteur " Crochat " de 1914.
Le Transpoyaudin est le nom local de ce chemin de fer..
