Detailed description is A Patterson Springs B and B The Patterson Springs B & B location, 979 NCR 1500E, is a very historic area of Camargo, IL at the well-known Patterson Springs where the spring water fills 3 concrete pools on the grounds, within 3 acres of wooded nature land, next to the Embarrass River.
The Gothic Revival house with a mansard roof was built in 1880 for $5000.00 from the clay of the land by Robert Patterson.
This is the childhood home of co-owner Marylee McGee.
History abounds on the grounds.

Specialty Country Breakfast recipes can include: honey and citrus fruit salad, 4 grain cereal, red raspberry crowdie, sourdough cardamon rolls, biscuits with country sausage gravy, corn meal waffles, oat meal pancakes, or fried mush, to name a few of the options.

This historic home is furnished in cherished antiques from the family and was owned by a special lady who lived there for 59 years, Marylee's mother, Rosemary Overturf Nussel Cox! Gas fireplace in the den gives a cozy atmosphere.
The large wrap around porch can be enjoyed in good weather for brunch or bird watching or smelling the pine trees planted there by Robert Nussel when the house was purchased in 1952 by he and his wife Rosemary.
The grounds have wildlife and deer, a wildflower and rose garden, and redbud trees line the north side of drive.
It can be used as a horse hotel since it has a pasture and small stable if hauling a horse and one can attend schooling horse shows at Jeff and Marydith Foster's Patterson Springs Stable 3 minutes away.
Check in at 3 and depart by 11.
Not handicap accessible.
The 2 bedrooms upstairs are available with a shared bath or 25.00 rents the bathroom for private use with one bedroom.
The Blue bedroom priced at $110 has a king sized bed and the Pink bedroom priced at $100.00 has twin 3/4 long beds.
No smoking.
Children above the age of 12 are welcome, may bring pet as long as pasture is horse free, must stay outside, can stay in stable.

DIRECTIONS: Take HWY 36 east out of Tuscola for 5 miles, turn north at J and J Burgers and Beer Tavern and it is the second house on the right (east).

The large special gathering room or frontwrap around screened in porch (in good weather) can be rented for bridal/baby showers or come and attend workshops on healthy tea, crochet, knitting, hooked pieces, aromatherapy, couples massage and meditation classes or give workshops of your own.

This area had an Olympic pool built in 1927.
The area was a well known recreation area for boy and girl scouts in cabins and for families who rent tents for a 2 week stay to hear famous speakers speak at the Chautauquas there in 1906 to 1916.
The 3 historic original spring fed pools can be seen from the hill above the Embarrass River.
