Detailed description is The 1000 Islands Zombie Walk is back for another family-fun-day in Cape Vincent this Fall.
Join us October 7, 2017, 9am – 3pm for games, raffles, shopping and more! Last year we raised $418 for Riverside Preschool and we’re hoping to go above and beyond that this year! Our benefactors this year are the Snug Harbor Winter Coat Fund & the Cape Vincent Playground Fund.
Attendance wasn’t very high last year because of cold and windy weather but we have plenty of other activities and a concession to keep everyone busy and warm inside the Cape Vincent Fire Hall this year..
Why a Zombie Walk in the 1000 Islands? While snowbound with his ex-wife during a routine Upstate NY polar vortex, Laura – still a friend of local writer, now filmmaker Bryan Stumpf – suggested a premise for a comedy film: a recently divorced couple stuck in a house during a zombie apocalypse..
And so, in July 2014, ‘Annulment’ was filmed after a bit of crowdfunding and some amazing support from this wonderful community..
Annulment has now been screened at a number of film festival including our own Snowtown Film Festival where the short rom-com-zom took home its first award..

The 1000 Islands Zombie Walk not only brings attention to local filmmaking but has given Stumpf Farm Productions a way to give back to the community.
Over the years we’ve donated to the Cape Vincent Food Pantry, Arts Council, Village Green & Chamber of Commerce and Riverside preschool raised over $300 during our first event.
After sticking with us through one of our not-so-successful years Riverside became our main benefactor for 2016 receiving $418..
For 2017 we’ve set our goals on helping out the Snug Harbor Winter Coat Fund & the Cape Vincent Playground Fund.
We’ve teamed up with Snug Harbor Bar, Restaurant & Marina to combine their Halloween Bash with the Zombie Walk.
Their event raises money to buy winter outerwear for children in the community..
Max Chavoustie has raised over $2,000 for the Playground Fund selling lemonade, baked goods, and collecting money with buckets at French Towne Market.
His money is just a portion of the $10,000 other residents have raised (of the $140,000 needed)..
