According to KCRG, Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control is investigating a case of animal abuse involving a 12-week-old male Golden Retriever. The report states that on the morning of Thursday, April 1, Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids, an organization that exists to provide and guide lifesaving advanced medical care for homeless or stray animals, got a phone call from someone concerned about an injured 12-week-old male Golden Retriever that they took in after a teenager left the puppy at their house.
KCRG states that the puppy may have been slammed onto the ground causing injury. Those injuries consist of two fractured legs and a badly broken femur. The puppy, who Critter Crusaders has named Kimble, underwent surgery today and has been hospitalized since April 1. Now the public s help is needed to bring justice to this horrible situation.
