A government might be able to properly deal with issues in its own country, but there are only limited options for what it can do when carnage and oppression are taking place in remote nations. Does that mean we should just ignore them? What is happening in Myanmar imposes that question on us. Since the Myanmar military s coup in February, over 800 people have been killed in crackdowns by the military and hundreds have gone missing. Security forces have been arbitrarily detaining and torturing people.
